Mathew Roberts is the General Manager of Calaveras Public Utility District. He started with the District in 2014 as a Water Utility Operator. He later served as Water Systems Superintendent for six years before becoming General Manager. Before joining CPUD, he worked in construction and the underground utilities field.

He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Western Governors University. He is Certified by the California State Water Resources Control Board as a T3 Water Treatment Plant Operator and D4 Water Distribution Operator.

Mathew grew up in Calaveras County and has a strong connection to the community and the water challenges it faces. His focus is on maintaining reliable system operations, strengthening long-term infrastructure planning, and ensuring dependable water service for the community well into the future.
