2019 FEMA Storm Damage Repair Projects, FEMA Event #4431-DR-CA (7/2020)

Separate sealed BIDS for the "2019 FEMA STORM DAMAGE REPAIR PROJECTS, FEMA EVENT #4431-DR-CA," will be received by the Calaveras Public Utility District (CPUD), at the office of CPUD, 506 W. Saint Charles Street (Mailing Address is P.O. Box 666), San Andreas, California, 95249, until August 6, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at CPUD, 506 W. Saint Charles Street, San Andreas, California, 95249.

Bids are required for the entire project as set forth in the specifications, and all work shall be completed within 30 work days.  At the time the contract is awarded, the contractor shall possess a Class A license. 

The work is generally described as follows:  The work involves debris removal, road repair, erosion repair and  a culvert replacement. The work is located at six separate sites across the District’s jurisdiction. The Engineer's Estimate does not exceed $410,000.

Project specifications, special provisions, plans, and proposal forms for bidding this project can be examined and obtained upon payment of a non‑refundable fee of $50, at CPUD, 506 W. Saint Charles Street, San Andreas, California, 95249.

This contract is subject to state contract nondiscrimination and compliance requirements pursuant to Government Code, Section 12990 and payment to the contractor shall be in accordance with Section 9-1.16, "Progress Payment" of the State Standard Specifications and the project specifications.

The specifications. Future effective general prevailing wage rates which have been predetermined and are on file with the California Department of Industrial Relations are referenced but not printed in the General Prevailing Wage Rates section of the project specifications.

No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2017) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code Section 1771.1(a)]. No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2017) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5. 

This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.

The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and further reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the bids.
